Welcome to Nery and Company, where we empower veterans and military spouses to excel in the business realm. Our pro bono consulting services specialize in Human Capital Management (HCM) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) strategies, meticulously tailored for startups established by individuals who have served our nation and their spouses. With an unwavering commitment to supporting your distinctive journey, we offer expert guidance to help you navigate the complexities of workforce management, ensuring your venture is not only compliant but also poised for success. Together, we will pave a pathway to prosperity and innovation for our heroes and their families.

Boasting over twenty years of experience in HCM, Civility training facilitation, training, and workplace support, our diverse team brings a wealth of perspectives, backgrounds, and skill sets-ranging from a military veteran to corporate C-suite executive. This diversity enhances our effectiveness and productivity as a team. We have learned that fostering an inclusive culture requires a focus on retention, representation, transparency, honesty, and engagement. Let us assist you in the implementation of a robust HCM program that reflects these values.

At Nery and Company, we recognize that employees seek to understand their impact and want to be integral to the organization's goals, processes, contributions, and outcomes.

"Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to the dance floor."

-Vernā Myers

"When you focus on someone's disability you'll overlook their abilities, beauty, and uniqueness. Once you learn to accept and love them for who they are, you subconsciously learn to love yourself unconditionally."

-Yvonne Pierre

"Employees  should be our first focus not just for ROI, for employee engagement, organizational culture, talent development, long-term sustainability, reducing turnover costs and branding."

Services

Nery and Company exists to solve the critical issues facing our clients, both large and small. Our unique approach is not only what differentiates us, but also what makes us successful. We provide a broad range of services and solutions to help organizations facilitate change, achieve their vision and optimize performance and productivity.

Assessment

After some thought-provoking questions, if we agree to move forward, you will receive our Confidentiality Agreement

for your review and signature.

We will need to review your current set of diversity policies including any information published online or on paper, your existing

Corporate Social Responsibility Statements; access to review the results of any diversity audits performed and any company briefings or trainings around the topic of diversity. We will conduct a companywide survey in order to assess the culture

of your company. It is like we will need access to your C-Suite and Management for further assessment and evaluation.

Due to the sensitive nature and the restrictions of our clients NDAs, we only disclose feedback when provided in writing by our clients.

We use different assessments albeit Gallups is our preferred.

Training

Research data shows employees push back on change hence our approach is through Civility Training and Development with accountability by facilitating the language needed to have those uncomfortable conversations to create an environment of growth. We  strive to cultivate and modify behaviors, not to change mindsets thus reducing micro-aggressions and push back. At the end of the day it is about trust which results in openness, engagement, performance and collaboration. The main goal of a successful civility and diversity training program is to create a positive work environment; however, we must start with inclusion first. Training is tailored to your organizational goals offered in a variety of formats: Interventions, Solutions, Inclusion, Culture and Evidence-Based Approaches.

Diversity training is an ongoing process to educate employees long term on the proper way to treat people of different backgrounds, to be aware of their negative conscious and unconscious biases and to be accountable. Biases are unavoidable hence during training we facilitate positive intergroup interaction, reducing prejudice and discrimination, and generally teaching individuals who are different from others how to work together effectively. Challenges will occur hence the need for tools and solutions to identify and develop strategies to a more cohesive and diverse environment.
The more diverse the workplace is the least biased it will become.Training is held at your company and some exercises could be enjoyed outdoors weather permitting. We engage your staff in multiple exercises to promote understanding, teamwork thus reducing burnout and fatigue.

Facilitation

We know choosing the right facilitator is crucial when you need a neutral guide, handle a difficult problem or need help gathering diverse perspectives. We offer facilitation tailored to your needs, at your location (we are not offering virtual programs at this time).

Let's begin with a consultation to better understand your needs, purpose and preferences. We will then be able to offer a recommendation and detailed proposal. During your facilitation session we can use flip charts, as those are still preferred by many, or your media room system. Afterwards we will follow up with our report including our pre and post surveys. We are honored you chose us.
